BioI'm a late starter to blogging and am ten years out from college (grad. '96). Figured I'd get on the Boat as the world is liquidating into virtual community and I'm still standing on the Island of 'What?' ...
I have a lot to talk about, and thanks to moving frequently, have lots of people in many different places to talk with. Others always refer(red) to me as 'talented' and having 'So much Potential'... but I'm still seeking how just to fulfill that potential, since I want to do "everything" and making choices is fraught with anxiety. Looking for support and ideas in crafting a personal career that gets me out of sitting in a box doing what other people tell me to.
For past five years my career was in public art management which, while often separating me from my own creativity through stress and lack of time, still introduced me to many who are living their own creative lives; and to the general concept that being a professional Artist IS quite possible, is done by many, and can be lucrative as well.
My sister is a frequent poster to the LiveJournal community and promised to teach me how to do this... I'm still waiting... she has an active blog just look for Anne or Netmouse. I think I get to link to it here somewhere...
